What is a Freebie Friday? Come to From My Room on a Freebie Friday and receive our choice of Freebie item for FREE (with any purchase of $1.00 or more). On Spinning Wheel Saturday, spin our spinning wheel to get a great discount coupon to save even more money! What? You don't want to come both days? Ok, ok. We'll do both events on both days - how's that?

Free item for August 7th / 8th will be posted on our website by midnight Thursday August 6th!

We plan on doing this once each month for the summer and even beyond that if people like this promotion. So tell everyone about it (you can send emails just by clicking on the envelope icon beneath this post) . You'll be supporting us and clueing your friends in to a great deal!

Consignment Update

Consignment appointments for fall and winter clothing are now being accepted.

Now accepting teens and women's clothing

In addition to children's items, From My Room is now carrying teen, young adult, and women's clothing, shoes and accessories. They should be no more than three years old, in current style and show no visible signs of wear. You may drop in without an appointment if you have 20 or fewer items. Just make sure you bring them in a container that is clearly labeled with your name and contact information. We will review them for acceptance within 48 hours and you must pick up any unaccepted items within 7 days of drop-off. If you have more than 20 items, please call for an appointment. Recycle! Reuse! Reduce! REWARD!

Reward! Do you have extra plastic hangers (the kind with metal swivel hooks) or large clear vinyl/plastic bags with zippers on them? If so, you can bring them to the store and receive 25 cents store credit for each one we accept. We are especially looking for child-sized hangers right now. Reusable bags are now available at the counter so if you have extras, bring them in to help keep our supply available. They include good condition shopping bags as well as canvas and vinyl ones. We are also accepting packaging materials like styrofoam peanuts and bubble wrap. It's great to recycle those items and keep them out of the landfill!

COLLECTION PROGRAMS

Thank you for the great response to our recently expanded collection programs. We are now accepting the following items that will be forwarded to the appropriate charitable organizations:


* Non perishable food - Northern Illinois Food Bank

* Baby items (unopened packages of diapers, wipes, etc.) - Northern Illinois Food Bank

* Old furs - Humane Society of the United States

* Old blankets - Naperville Humane Society

* Coke Rewards bottlecaps - Naperville Humane Society

* Old eyeglasses - Lions Club International

* Old cellphones - Cellphones for Soldiers
